A Career Prosecutor

Damon has been prosecuting criminals for over 20 years. He was appointed by President Barack Obama and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate. He has taken on the cartels and put some of Albuquerque's most dangerous criminals behind bars, and, when our city's officer-involved-shootings reached unacceptable heights, he made the tough decision to hold APD to a higher standard and to provide the department with the training they needed to meet it.

A Proven Leader

Damon enlisted in the United States Army Reserves in the first year of our Global War on Terror. He has continued to serve for 21 years and he is now a Colonel and a JAG officer in the New Mexico National Guard.
